Overview

The HOPS7-Pro is a compact high-output point source loudspeaker with high power handling of 1000 W, featuring dual 6.5” neodymium ultra-low distortion cone drivers, low-frequency drivers and a 1.75” VC annular diaphragm compression driver enhancing mid-high frequencies.

The smallest of the HOPS-Pro Series, the HOPS7-Pro gives unrivalled power while retaining a compact design. The Quick Release Grille and Instafit Rotatable and interchangeable Waveguide provides flexibility, and 80º x 50º (standard) and 120º x 60º stand for a total of four different options. Versatile and convenient for smaller venues and applications. Convenience with no compromise on power.

Being the part of the HOPS-Pro Series, the HOPS7-Pro is loaded with the best of the best in CODA Audio’s advanced technologies Dynamic Airflow Cooling (DAC) and Phase Linearity.

Dynamic Airflow Cooling (DAC).

Boasting CODA’s patented DAC technology and other flagship technologies, the HOPS7-Pro has exceptional power in spite of its compact size. It features a front baffle and vents constructed from aluminium, with all drivers thermally coupled & mounted to it. The aluminium vents are optimised to maximise airflow, greatly increasing the thermal capacity of the system. Applying more power to the loudspeaker increases the airflow within the vents, in turn conducting more heat away from the drivers – distributing that heat outside the enclosure. The patented DAC technology dramatically improves heat dissipation, increasing the power handling and the long-term maximum sound pressure of the system two-fold.

Phase Linearity.

Whilst many of today’s ‘modern’ loudspeakers feature a linear frequency response, very few also benefit from being phase-linear too, but HOPS7-Pro is exactly that. As a result, there is no need to apply any compromising destructive processing when combining different elements together in complex systems. This simple phase-compatibility between other CODA Audio products delivers faithful imaging, and better overall fidelity.

Versatility – one enclosure – different dispersions.

HOPS7-Pro features Instafit rotatable and interchangeable waveguides providing various possibilities for adjusting directivity, but unlike many other loudspeakers that ‘only’ steer high frequency – the waveguides control all the way down to 800 Hz.

Both 80ºx50º (standard) and 120ºx60º waveguides are available, and these are rotatable, giving a total of four different directivity options.

The system can be used as a stand-alone full range system, or together with subwoofers. With complementary subwoofers U15-Sub the system’s bandwidth can be expanded down to 35 Hz. Thanks to the System Optimiser 3D direct sound simulation software, even complex setups can be simulated quickly and meaningfully.

Like all CODA Audio systems, the HOPS7-Pro is designed to work with LINUS system amplifiers, so the user can enjoy the highest performance and maximum operational reliability.

A wide range of accessories give simple integration across a variety of applications. Accessories include horizontal and vertical U-brackets, and more. HOPS7-Pro is also easy to mount on an M10 threaded speaker pole, convenient for smaller venues and applications.

Durable and robust, the enclosure of the HOPS7-Pro is a hybrid of birch plywood and aluminium with a moisture and UV-resistant black polyurea finish in RAL9005. The system can be supplied in other RAL colours on request. The front is protected by a stable honeycomb grille with waterproof foam behind it, that is still acoustically transparent. With IP54 protection against dust and light or splashing water, it is ideally suited for temporary outdoor use.
